High Expectations

What we expect from you

All students are required to sign up to our student Code of Conduct, to maintain our high standards of hygiene, safety, and academic achievement.

For example, you must:

  • Follow all health and safety guidance and signage, using the sanitiser stands located around the college
  • Wear your colour coded college ID badge at all times
  • Attend each and every timetabled lesson and maintain a minimum of 90% attendance
  • Arrive on time for all lessons – including remote sessions
  • Inform your teacher or learner manager if you have any circumstances that will impact on your attendance or punctuality
  • Maintain good behaviour at all times, adhere to the high expectations set by the college and not bring the college into disrepute at any time, even when you’re not on college premises
  • Follow the college guidance for using college IT systems for both onsite and remote learning. Student IT usage is closely monitored
  • Treat others with respect - regardless of their age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, level of ability, religion, culture or background
  • Treat college equipment and the environment with respect, and avoid the use of abusive language
  • Only smoke or vape in designated areas
  • Abide by the regulations of the relevant examinations awarding body for your qualifications
  • Complete assignments, exams and assessments in line with agreed assessment plans
  • Be nice, be kind, support others to be happy and achieve . . . and be proud!
