About the course

The Healthcare Support Worker apprentice will be based in a live clinical enviroment, such as a hospital ward, working under the direct supervision of qualified staff to deliver high-quality, patient care for all patients and their families/carers. You will learn to develop knowledge, skills and behavious, and contribute to compassionate care. There are opportunities to progress further throughout the bands, such as nursing.

Careers and progression

Progression to Level 3 Apprenticeship; with the possibility of progressing towards the Nursing Apprenticeship.

 

Entry requirements

Minimum age of 17 and three year residency rules met.

Ideally maths and English at GCSE 4 or above / FS Level 2 already achieved, or to be working towards and successfully complete ahead of Gateway.
