Position: Learning Support Assistant

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Key Responsibilities

Exciting Responsibilities for Our Learning Support Assistant:

As a key member of The Willow Tree Centre team, you will:

  • Embrace Our Mission: Live the values and policies of The Willow Tree Centre and Telford College every day.
  • Engage Learners: Deliver dynamic teaching programs for individuals and groups, making learning fun and impactful!
  • Create Safe Spaces: Partner with the Learning Facilitator to maintain a safe and stimulating environment for all students.
  • Provide Care: Support students with personal care needs—think toileting, feeding, and mobility (physical fitness is a plus!).
  • Supervise with Flair: Oversee meal and break times, helping students enjoy their food and socialize.
  • Foster Connections: Guide students during social activities and ensure their safety during transport at the start and end of the day.
  • Champion Inclusion: Support students with diverse additional needs, including physical, behavioral, medical, emotional, and sensory challenges.

Qualifications and training

  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or equivalent or be prepared to work towards it.
