About the course

This course aims to develop your understanding of stroke and how you can support individuals who have had a stroke. It will help you to understand the crucial effects of a stroke and what guidance and support can be provided to the individual and/or their carers.

It will develop your knowledge of the different types of stroke, signs and symptoms of stroke and their effects and how to respond in an emergency stroke incident.

Entry requirements

This qualification is suitable for a wide range of workers and prospective workers within the health and social care sector and is suitable for learners aged 16 and above.

Course lasts one day a week, over four weeks.
