About the course

If you are looking for a course that will prepare you for a successful career in the world of business, give you the opportunity to further your education and qualifications, or to teach you the basics of what you need to eventually start your own small business, then this is for you. The Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Business will teach you the essential communication, project management, customer service, online, and financial planning skills required to be a success, no matter what industry you want to work in. It develops your core skills, and places you in real-life scenarios, giving you a skill-set that all future employers will value. With a mix of compulsory modules to teach you the fundamentals of business, and optional units that allow you to specialise your knowledge, you will be able to tailor your course to suit your ambitions. This will usually take around one year to complete if studying full time.

Progressing to: Level 3 business

Entry requirements

4 GCSE at grade 3 including maths and/or English

Additional information

Guest speakers are a regular, giving ‘a day in the life of…’ sessions which offer a short, sharp introduction to what life is life working in the sector and what a typical day consists of. Trips are arranged on an ad hoc basis depending on each student’s career aspirations
