Counselling Skills – Level 3 Certificate

Home  >  Join us  >  Our course

About the course

Designed for those looking to deepen their counselling knowledge, this course builds on skills learned at Level 2 or through other lived experiences. It introduces key counselling theories, ethical practices, and advanced communication techniques, preparing students for more specialised study or a career in counselling. Students engage in practical role-plays, case study analyses, and discussions to refine their skills in empathy, active listening, and self-awareness. Ideal for those seeking a pathway to a formal counselling qualification or to enhance their work in people-focused professions, this course provides the groundwork needed for a Level 4 diploma in Counselling to become a qualified therapist.

Entry requirements

You should have a keen interest in working with people and good interpersonal skills, in addition to a GCSE/Functional Skills qualification in English or Maths
