About the course

These qualifications are aimed at practicing or aspiring managers who supervise or manage a team, or project officer and shift manager to achieve clearly defined outcomes. They will set and monitor goals and objectives by providing instruction, direction and guidance. Day to day operational and project activities are a key part of their role.

Careers and progression

Upon completing the Certificate and Diploma qualifications you will be awarded Foundation Chartered Manager Status. Putting aspiring and early-career managers on a guided development pathway to becoming a fully-fledged Chartered Manager.

Entry requirements

Have a qualification lower than a level 3 diploma or 2 A levels/4 AS levels. In April 2021, the Government launched the Level 3 Free Courses for Jobs offer. This policy gives adults without a Level 3 qualification the chance to gain their first level 3 qualification for free. Eligibility for the offer has been expanded so that any adult in England who is earning under the National Living Wage annually (£18,525 in FY2022-23) or are unemployed will also be able to access these free qualifications, even if they already have a Level 3 qualification or higher. The expansion of eligibility for these qualifications will provide vital opportunities for the lowest-paid adults to upskill or retrain to help them access better jobs, improve their wages and income.
