About the course

This 14-week VTCT course will prepare you to become a nail technician. The course will teach you the practical skills to enable you to apply, maintain and remove nail enhancements, using either UV gel, liquid and powder or wrap nail systems. Additionally, you will also learn the underpinning theory knowledge required to successfully complete the service including health and safety, client care and hygiene practice for nail technicians.

This will be assessed through an online examination and assignment work. Your practical and employability skills will be developed working in a real-life salon environment The Retreat, whereby you will complete practical assessments on members of the public. You will be required to purchase a uniform and kit to enable you to complete this course.  Although previous experience within the beauty industry is not essential, an understanding of the basic manicure will be an advantage.
