Telford College is known as 'the controller' of the personal data you provide to us. We need to know your basic personal data to provide you with details regarding your interaction with Telford College it will also be used by the college's analysis services, where appropriate. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need to provide and oversee services to yourself. We have data protection procedures in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. We will not disclose the information you entrust us with to third parties except where we have a statutory or contractual duty to do so (including to your employer, if sponsored), where you have given prior approval or where an official Telford College third-party data sharing agreement exists.

We are required under UK tax law to keep your personal data in relation to financial support for a minimum of 7 years (plus the current year) after which time it will be destroyed. lf at any point you believe the information we process about you is incorrect, you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted.

You have the right to request copies of your personal data. If you think any data we hold is inaccurate or incomplete you have the right for it to be changed. Terms and conditions

If I have submitted false evidence or fail to tell the college about any income which is relevant, the matter may be referred to the Department of Education or the police
Financial support funds are operated on a first come/first served basis
Financial support funds are awarded based on student's financial need and may differ between student based on need
If I meet the eligibility criteria for help, I am not automatically entitled. I will be awarded support only if funds allow, and based on my financial need. This may mean that I am not awarded support.
Any financial support funds which I am awarded will depend on my:
- Enroling to Telford College
- Maintaining good attendance while at Telford College
- Good behaviour and attitude to learning while at Telford College
If I leave Telford College I may be asked to return kit, uniform and materials purchased through financial support or that the college may seek to reclaim these funds from yourself
