About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Distance Learning Co-ordinator at Telford College.

The purpose of this role is to support the day-to-day administration and recruitment function for candidates participating in qualifications via distance learning. Whilst keep accurate records of engagement and achievements.

 

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Grow the distance learning provision by securing new candidates for the courses, this will involve work with employers and individuals. High levels of communication skills to ensure growth of business.
  • Liaise with partner organisations to ensure learning materials are in stock, and updates from learning platforms are communicated to relevant team members in timely manner.
  • Travel to various venues to promote distance learning and complete inductions.
  • Liaise with assessors and follow the IQA process to ensure positive outcomes for candidates.
  • Meet regularly with the Employer Engagement Manager to review the provision.
  • Meet and exceed KPI’s.
  • Attend regular team meetings including standardisation meetings with Assessors and Quality teams.

Skills, knowledge and expertise

Qualifications and training

  • Level 3 qualification (Business or equivalent) or a willingness to attain these qualifications.
  • Level 2 qualification (GCSE A* – C, or equivalent) in maths and English or a willingness to attain these qualifications with the support of the College.

Skills and expertise

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience of working towards strict targets and deadlines
  • Excellent level of IT Knowledge, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of working with Employers as third party stakeholders
