We are thrilled to announce an exciting vacancy in the Student Services Department at the College! This is your chance to be a key player in shaping the future of our students by coordinating and developing an innovative system of Employer and Workplace Experiences that will empower learners and elevate their educational journey.

As part of this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work across the entire college, collaborating with teams to design and enhance experiences that truly matter. Whether you’re supporting our expanding T-Level routes or taking the lead in new sector areas, your work will directly contribute to the growth and success of our students.

You’ll be at the heart of creating meaningful opportunities that align perfectly with the curriculum, ensuring that students gain the skills, knowledge, and behaviours that will set them up for future success in their chosen fields. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with the Lead Work Experience Coordinator and curriculum teams to develop and enhance meaningful work placement opportunities for students across the college.

  • Employer Engagement: Reach out to employers to generate exciting Employer and Work Experience opportunities, ensuring students get access to real-world learning experiences.

  • Employer Partnerships: Build and nurture strong relationships with employers, ensuring all parties receive the support they need to make the most of placement opportunities.

  • Expand Opportunities: Continuously develop and maintain a wide range of employer partnerships to secure diverse placements and identify potential job opportunities for students post-college.

  • Student-Centered Matching: Take the time to connect with students to understand their career aspirations and match them with the perfect work experience opportunities.

  • Be Innovative: Think outside the box to create new and exciting Employer and Workplace Experiences that truly benefit students, setting them up for success.

  • Support & Flexibility: Work independently, while also being part of a collaborative team, to ensure that students are supported throughout their placements. Be flexible, especially when working with busy employers!

  • On-Placement Support: Visit and provide hands-on support to students during their placements, ensuring they thrive and make the most of every opportunity.

Skills, knowledge and expertise

Qualifications and training

  • A-Level or equivalent qualification
  • IAG qualification at level 4
  • A car owner with full driving licence, as the post involves visiting employers and students in placement
  • Level 2 qualification (GCSE A* – C, or equivalent) in maths and English or a willingness to attain these qualifications with the support of the College

Skills and expertise

  • A car owner with full driving licence, as the post involves visiting employers and students in placement
  • Excellent customer services skills, with a resilient approach to contacting both students and employers.
  • Knowledge of current developments and opportunities in local LMI.
  • Experience of working in an education setting.
