Telford College is working in partnership with Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Integrated Care System to offer a range of education and training courses to employees across the system.

Telford College boasts impressive industry standard facilities including two four-bedded hospital bays, a maternity room and a social care space all fully equipped with mock kitchens and bathrooms to create a safe learning environment. There are a range of interactive mannequins and teaching staff with a breadth of industry experience.

Mobile Training UNIT (MTU)

Our Mobile Training Unit (MTU), developed in partnership with The Marches Education Partnership, is a state-of-the-art vehicle designed to deliver cutting-edge, technology-led, and practical training across the Marches area. The MTU is fully equipped with virtual reality (VR) headsets, simulated at-work training environments, an immersive cave, and custom-built training software, all developed specifically for the partnership.

Key Roles Supporting the MTU:

Our Clinical Educator plays a pivotal role in the delivery of training on the MTU, providing expert instruction and guidance in clinical settings. The Clinical Educator ensures that trainees are not only mastering the theoretical aspects of their training but also applying their knowledge in real-world, simulated environments. This role is key in adapting training to meet the needs of learners, tailoring clinical scenarios that are both relevant and challenging. The Simulation Technician supports the MTU by maintaining and managing all the technical equipment, including VR headsets, immersive environments, and other simulation tools. The technician ensures that all systems are functioning optimally and that training scenarios are correctly set up and tailored to the needs of each session. They also work closely with educators to troubleshoot and provide technical support during training, ensuring a seamless and immersive learning experience.

Bespoke to Your Needs:

We understand that every training need is unique. Our MTU is equipped to offer bespoke training solutions tailored specifically to your requirements. Whether it’s adjusting the level of difficulty, introducing specific training objectives, or customising clinical scenarios to fit your exact training needs, our team is committed to designing and delivering training that aligns perfectly with the learner’s goals.
