Telford College offers A levels, vocational training programmes, apprenticeships and T-Levels which offer a more practical, workplace-based equivalent to A levels.

How to choose the best course for you?
Students with a more academic approach might want to take the traditional A level route towards a possible university place. Our A level offering is growing, with new courses for 2024-25 such as politics and theatre studies added to an already wide-ranging list.
For others, vocational choices may better suit their needs. Here at Telford College, the offering is extensive, including distinct career routes in leading industries such as business, creative, computing, engineering, sport, law and politics.
There’s also a dedicated NHS training academy on site at the Wellington campus, preparing people for a range of careers in health and social care.
T-Levels are also now up and running as an exciting alternative to A levels, apprenticeships and other 16-19 courses. Equivalent to 3 A levels, a T-Level focuses on vocational skills and can help you into skilled employment, higher study or apprenticeships.
Each T-Level includes an in-depth industry placement. You’ll gain valuable experience in the workplace, while employers get early sight of the new talent in their industry.

Finding and enrolling on the perfect course at Telford College couldn’t be easier. Here are our ‘six steps to success’.
- CHOOSE YOUR COURSE: It might be an A level, T-Level, apprenticeship or one of our many adult, higher education or part-time courses. Our careers advice and guidance team can help you make the right decision. There could be financial support on offer too, to help cover costs.
- ATTEND AN OPEN EVENT OR TOUR: We open our doors at regular intervals for you to look around, chat to students and our friendly and knowledgeable staff, or take part in bite-sized demonstrations and tasters.
- APPLY FOR A PLACE: The easiest way is to apply online through our website, but if you prefer to do it another way, our team will be able to help you. Some courses fill up fast, so it’s best to apply early.
- GET AN INTERVIEW: After we receive your application, a member of our admissions team will invite you in for an interview, to find out a bit more about you, and make sure the course will suit you.
- RECEIVE AN OFFER: Assuming all goes well with the interview, you will be offered a place, subject to passing your exams. Once you accept the offer, your place at college is secured.
- PREPARE TO ENROL: You’ll be invited to a New Students’ Day to get a feel of campus life, and be invited to an enrolment appointment to receive your college ID badge and timetable.
You are then an official Telford College student!
