Station Quarter: Find out what we will be offering

Station Quarter Digital Skills and Enterprise Hub CGI 2

Telford College has unveiled an exciting curriculum for its new maths and digital skills hub opening in the town’s Station Quarter later this year.

A wide range of technology-focused training programmes will be delivered at the new hub, with a focus on innovation and providing skills for some of the region’s fastest growing and best-paid business sectors.

They include digital skills pathways from entry to university level, apprenticeships focusing on hardware, software, and multi-channel marketing, and digital T-Levels in support services, business services, and production, design and development.

The college’s town centre campus at Station Quarter is due to open in September.

We see this as a unique and ambitious alliance between industry and education, which will raise everyone’s aspirations. It makes the college even more accessible to people across the borough, and builds on our collaborative work with local employers to develop the sort of skilled workforce they require.

Telford is full of talented people, and we need to do everything we can to help retain these important skills in the town – because there are some fantastic, highly paid career opportunities right on our doorstep.

Teresa Hughes, director of business, digital and professional studies, said there would be a 20-strong Telford College team based at the Station Quarter hub.

“The curriculum is targeted towards equipping people for careers in sectors such as cybersecurity, AI and robotics, virtual and augmented reality, cloud computing, wireless technologies, 5G innovation, and much more.

“Maths and digital qualifications are a vital pathway to higher quality and better paid career opportunities for the people of Telford.”
