Anyone applying for an Installation or Maintenance Electrician gold card for the first time will be required to sign up to Registered Electrician status and be qualified to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Obtaining this qualification will ensure that you are knowledgeable about the latest industry regulations concerning the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems.

This qualification is approved for candidates aged 16 or above.
It is primarily aimed at practising electricians and other professionals such as consultants and surveyors who need to update and enhance their understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations to the latest edition.
This course is assessed through an end point multiple choice exam.
There are two variations of this course, a one day and a three-day session. For learners looking to renew their 18th Edition, we recommend a one-day session, and a three-day course for those looking to obtain it for the first time.
