You can drop into our weekly sessions for support with CVs, UCAS applications and student finance, or book a one-to-one appointment for personalised guidance tailored to your goals. You’ll also get free access to Unifrog, giving you everything you need to research universities, apprenticeships and career pathways in one place.
Throughout the year, you’ll have the chance to take part in exciting trips to universities, UCAS Discovery and The Telford Skills Show, as well as our on-campus careers fair, where you can meet employers and explore local opportunities.
We also run dedicated support events for parents and carers, so everyone feels informed, involved and ready to support your next steps.

You’ll take part in careers activities within your lessons, tailored to your subject and level, so your learning connects clearly to your future goals.
Your course includes real-world skills and careers knowledge, shaped by local employers and current labour market insights, helping you understand where your studies can take you.
Through our employer hubs, you’ll meet industry professionals through guest talks, workshops and workplace visits, giving you insight into different careers and industries.
Our dedicated Work Experience Team supports you to secure valuable placements, with a goal for every student to complete at least 36 hours of work experience each year.
Through partnerships with local and national Higher Education institutions you’ll have opportunities to attend university talks, campus visits and taster sessions.
Our expert Careers Team, including qualified advisers and a specialist Careers Lead, offers one-to-one careers guidance to support your individual goals. All full-time students also benefit from the support of a personal tutor and progress coach.
Making music his future, former Telford College student Caleb is now thriving at BIMM University in Birmingham after excelling on his Level 3 studies. Leaving college with the highest possible grades, Caleb turned his passion into a clear progression route into the creative industries, proving that talent, dedication and the right support can open doors. He said “The support and encouragement I received gave me the confidence to take the next step and apply to BIMM.”
Digital T Level student Tyler Floyd‑Morgan was praised as “a credit to the college” after impressing employers during his industry placement with automated technology specialist iconsys. Tyler spent nine weeks working alongside their professional IT team, gaining hands‑on experience on real‑world projects and rapidly developing both his technical and workplace skills. He said: “I’ve enjoyed it a lot and have got so much out of my work placements, which have given me the chance to apply the technical skills I learn at college.”
After moving to the UK from Syria and returning to education as an adult learner, Soulaf progressed through courses at Telford College, including an Access to Higher Education programme, to secure a place studying Therapeutic Radiography at Birmingham City University. Now preparing for a career treating cancer patients, Soulaf credits the support, confidence and academic foundations she gained at college for transforming what once felt impossible into a clear and achievable future.
