The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Health and Social Care is designed for learners interested in progressing into the health and care sector or further study. You will develop knowledge of safeguarding, communication, equality and person-centred care, building the skills needed for a range of supportive roles within health and social care settings.

Learners also develop an understanding of legislation, professional values, safeguarding responsibilities, communication and wellbeing within health and social care settings. The course encourages reflective practice and helps build confidence, preparing learners for further study or entry-level roles supporting children, young people and adults across the sector.

Units include equality, diversity and rights in health and social care, human growth and development, and safeguarding and protection. Learners explore person-centred care, communication, wellbeing, and the responsibilities of health and social care practitioners, developing the knowledge needed for progression into further study or care-related roles.
Students can progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, although learners should have a good standard of written English and an interest in health and social care. The course is suitable for learners aged 19+ looking to progress into further study or begin a career within the sector
This course is assessed through coursework- and assignment-based, with ongoing assessor observations to support workplace development. The qualification usually takes 6–8 months, allowing flexible study alongside work and personal commitments.
A key highlight of the course is its flexible approach to learning, allowing you to study around work and personal commitments while receiving dedicated assessor support. Completing the qualification alongside employment also helps you immediately apply your learning in practice, enhancing confidence, skills, and professional development within the workplace.
