Accessing College Wi-Fi

This help article is solely for Telford College Staff, Students and Associates who have been approved for the ability to login to college systems. For help connecting to our guest networks please see our support article for accessing guest wifi

  1. To access the college Wi-fi, please connect to ‘TelfordCollege’ from the available networks on your device.
  2. You may be prompted to trust the Wi-fi security certificate, this will display as a question, asking if you want to trust clearpass.telfordcollege.ac.uk; you must click ‘trust’ to access the network. Clearpass is a college management platform and is safe to be trusted.
  3. When prompted for your username and password, please enter your college username and password. For students this will be your a number and staff your s number.

If prompted for setting please follow

EAP Method: PEAP
Identity: A Number / S Number (email will also work)
Password: Your college account password
CA Certificate (drop option): Don’t validate (the connection is protected after joined)

4. Once this is completed you can now use the college Wi-fi, in line with the acceptable use parameters within the IT Security Policy.
