You will provide hands-on training in constructing and repairing walls, foundations, and other structures using bricks and mortar. Apprentices learn essential skills such as reading technical drawings, mixing materials, and using hand and power tools. The programme covers health and safety regulations, site preparation, and modern construction techniques, ensuring compliance with industry standards, typically lasting 18–24 months.

Building solid walling, isolated and attached piers. Cavity walling forming masonry structures. Interpretting working drawings to set out masonry.
Proressing to City & Guilds courses, level 3 construction.
Apprentices must hold at least a GCSE grade 1 or equivalent in English and maths and will be required to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills as part of their apprenticeship. Apprentices aged 19 and over may opt out of this requirement but need to ensure suitable working levels within both English and Maths.
