4. Using multifactor authentication
When signing into any website that requires a Microsoft sign-in you will be asked to enter your user name and password as usual. You will then be given a screen asking you to approve the sign-in request, which will either:
- Push a notification to your authentication device (if using the app) which you will need to click to approve, or
- A text will be sent to your mobile device and you will be asked to enter the code received.
Once approved/code entered, you will then continue your usual operation.
Please note you will see at least once a day, a pop up from MS Teams, OneDrive, Outlook – asking you to authenticate access to those systems also.
