It wasn’t just the football league play-off champions who were lifting silverware at Wembley over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Telford College’s footballers were also presented with their Community & Education Football Alliance (CEFA) trophy at the home of English football after winning their league by completing an entire season unbeaten.

Telford College A level photography student D’sharn Brown-Mccatty, who has been capturing images of the team throughout the season, travelled with the players to photograph the trophy-lift.

Students on the college’s ‘Football and Education’ programme get to wear the famous old gold and black colours of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC through a partnership between the college and the Wolves Foundation.

Teddy Munroe, student development officer at the Foundation, said: “The trip to Wembley was a brilliant way to round off what has been an absolutely fantastic season.

“The team got to watch the play-off final at Wembley in hospitality, as well as receiving their trophy and medals. It was a day I’m sure they will never forget.”
