Telford College has thrown its support behind a careers fair designed to open up education paths and work opportunities for young people.
The Telford Jobs and Futures Fair will bring together employers and training providers to promote live vacancies, training opportunities and routes into employment.
It is open to the public, and Telford College has given its support to the event as the headline sponsor.

A large number of employers have already signed up for the event, which takes place on November 6 at The Anstice in Madeley.
Sarah Davies, executive director of employer engagement and partnerships at Telford College, said the Jobs and Futures Fair was a chance to help young people into work, while helping local employers close the skills gaps they face.
She said: “We speak to employers regularly and many tell us they can’t find people with the skills they need.
“The Jobs and Futures Fair gives young people the chance to meet businesses that are recruiting now, and many are happy to train the right person. In the longer term, tackling youth unemployment means training young people for the jobs that exist here.
“That’s why we work in partnership with local businesses to shape our courses, and why our Business Solutions team helps companies take on apprentices.
“We’re proud to sponsor the fair and our team will be there on the day, so come and talk to us.”
College staff will be on hand at the event to showcase the college’s training and education offer, as well as current vacancies including apprenticeship opportunities.
Student ambassadors will also be on hand to engage with those attending and offer experience of their education experiences at the college.
The event is being hosted by Telford MP Shaun Davies in partnership with the UK Government, with the event being made possible through the support of Telford College and Pride in Place.
Shaun Davies MP, pictured speaking to young people at the opening of Telford 6th last month, said: “Getting young people into good jobs, apprenticeships and training is vital to the future of Telford.
“That is why I am delighted to be bringing together our local employers, training providers and support organisations for the Telford Jobs and Futures Fair.
“This is about putting young people directly in front of the people who can offer them their next opportunity. Whether someone is looking for their first job, considering an apprenticeship or simply unsure about what they want to do next, there will be people at this event who can help.
“This event would not be possible without the support of our partners and sponsors. Telford College and Pride in Place have played a hugely important role in helping us make this event happen. By working together, we can make sure young people in Telford can access the opportunities, advice and support available to them, while helping local businesses connect with the talented people they need for the future.”
