Not quite. While we offer the same academic opportunities as traditional sixth forms (and in some cases more), Telford 6th combines a sixth form environment with strong student support, outstanding new facilities and a convenient location in the heart of Telford. Students will enjoy more independence, a wider choice of courses, and access to modern facilities designed specifically for post-16 learning.
Our focus is on delivering outstanding teaching, tailored support, and real-world opportunities. We provide excellent progression routes to university, apprenticeships, and careers, backed by experienced staff and a vibrant student community.
Entry requirements vary by course, but typically students need five GCSEs at grade 4–9, including English and maths. Some subjects require specific grades.
Applications can be made online via the Telford College website. Students can also apply during open events or through their school’s careers adviser.
We recommend applying by January of the year you wish to start, but applications are accepted throughout the academic year while places remain available.
