This one-year course is for students who have an existing Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy and want to take their skills to a higher level.

It combines advanced electrical facial treatments a variety of massage disciplines and eyelash extensions, to develop flexible skills for a career in beauty therapy.

All students will study anatomy and physiology, health and safety, personal development, planning and promotion of events.

– Electrical facials
– Indian head massage
– Body massage
– Anatomy and physiology
– Pre-blended aroma
– Stone massage
– Eyelash extensions
– Planning and promoting activities and events

Industry placement opportunities:
Telford Hotel & Golf Resort, Body and Mind in Wellington, Glow Beauty Salon at Trench, Tantalize Wellington.
Progressing to: Senior beauty therapist, salon manager, self-employment or cruise liner therapist.
University – Spa Management, Theatrical and Media make-up, or study HND in Business at Telford College

Aspirational careers: London Wellness Academy – the cruise ship franchise – Elemis, Champneys, or Deborah Mitchell at Heaven, beauty therapist to the stars and former Telford College student
A full Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification NVQ or equivalent, plus GCSE grade 4 or above in English and/or maths
This course is assessed by practical assessments to be completed on clients for each unit, as well as a mixture of assignments and written/online exams. Students must achieve all elements to successfully achieve the qualification.
