The Level 1 Diploma in Vocational Studies is a full-time Pearson-accredited qualification that takes one year to complete. The purpose of this qualification is to develop the transferable skills, attributes and behaviours needed for learners to progress to further study and ultimately to employment.

This course is aimed at individuals who have a passion for being creative and wish to develop their understanding of processes, techniques and equipment that underpin all creative subject areas, and be the first step on the path to higher level courses and career success. There will be key elements that allow students to develop key personal skills in organisation, working with others, communication and research.

Through working on exciting, practical projects, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in a range of creative pathways including media, music, design and digital technologies.

This course is ideal for progressing to level 2 creative media, music or art and design.
