This two-year course has been designed to give students the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher level technical study in the digital sector.

It introduces to key industry topics such as programming, coding, development engines, the use of data and the different platforms of digital delivery. The course is delivered 80% in a classroom setting and 20% via a work placement.

You will develop an understanding of:
– How digital technologies impact business
– The ethical and moral implications of digital technology
– Using data in software design
– Using digital technologies to analyse and solve problems
– Digital environments, including physical, virtual and cloud environments
– Emerging technical trends, such as Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Blockchain, 3D printing
– Privacy and confidentiality of personal data
Web developer, web designer, computer games developer or tester.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs grade 4 or above, including maths and English
