This one-year course is the first step towards a career in the hair and beauty industry. You will learn the underlying principles and practical skills required for the industry by working in a real-life salon environment at The Retreat, our on-site salon with fully equipped hair and beauty facilities.

You will complete practical assessments on your peers and potentially on members of the public. You will also be expected to complete written assignments and exams as part of the assessment process.
You will continue to develop your English and maths skills, where relevant, to support the development of essential employability skills.
