The T Level in Management and Administration is a prestigious, employer designed qualification that prepares students for professional careers in business. Combining classroom learning with extensive industry experience, this course develops high level administrative, management, and people focused skills needed to succeed in modern organisations.

The T Level in Management and Administration offers a hands on, career focused route into professional business roles. This technical qualification is equivalent to three A Levels and has been developed in partnership with employers to ensure students gain the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required in the workplace.

A key feature of the course is 315 hours of compulsory industry placement, giving students real experience within a professional business environment. This allows learners to apply their knowledge in real settings, build confidence, and develop employability skills that set them apart from other applicants.

Students study core business concepts such as people management, finance, quality and compliance, policies and procedures, and project management, before specialising in Business Support. The course develops professionalism, leadership, decision making, and workplace behaviours, preparing learners for higher education or skilled employment.

This course is structured over two years, beginning with core content that builds a strong foundation in essential business and management principles.

In the first year, learners explore key areas such as business context, people management, and finance, alongside important operational topics including quality and compliance, policies and procedures, and project and change management. The programme also emphasises the development of professional behaviours and practices, ensuring students understand what is expected in a modern workplace.

In the second year, learners move into their occupational specialism in business support, where they apply their knowledge and skills in a more focused, practical context, preparing them for employment or further progression within the business sector.
HNC in Business, offered here at Telford College, degree level study at university, higher level apprenticeships, and direct progression into skilled employment such as a customer service team leader, HR assistant, events co-ordinator, trainee manager.
