The Paediatric First Aid (PFA) course at Telford College offers a flexible approach as a blended delivery with some online study and practical in person training.

This course equips participants with the critical skills needed to manage emergencies involving children and infants, and meets the EYFS requirements.  In addition and from September 2025 early years students and trainees are required to have paediatric first aid (PFA) training in order for them to be included in ratios at the level below their level of study

If all staff from an early years setting complete PFA, the setting can apply for Millies Mark, an accreditation awarded to settings with 100% of staff PFA trained.
