Step into work: health & social care is a 3-week programme designed to prepare you for roles in care and support settings. Gain practical skills, build confidence, and achieve recognised qualifications while exploring real-life scenarios, including VR simulation, to help you take your first step into the sector.

Develop key skills through recognised qualifications, including customer service, introduction to health & social Care, health & safety, and dementia awareness. Build confidence in communication, safeguarding, and employability, with practical learning, VR
simulation, and an introduction to first aid to prepare you for real-world care settings.

A key highlight is the opportunity to gain multiple recognised qualifications while experiencing real-life care scenarios through immersive VR simulation. Combined with practical skills, employer insight, and a clear route into health and social care roles,
this course gives you a strong, confident start in the sector.

Certificate in Customer Service
Certificate in Introduction to Health & Social Care and Young People’s Settings
Award in Health and Safety Awareness
Award in Awareness of Dementia
Introduction into First Aid
Learners can progress onto a level 2 in health and social care or a level 3 diploma in adult care, access to higher education – health professionals, or a career in the health and social care sector.
For the courses above, the criteria is:

Must be aged 19+ as of 13/08/26
Must not be studying any other course
Must have at least Entry Level 3 in English
