Under the following circumstances, you’ll be required to pay some or all of the course fees – although support may be available either through student loans or our financial support team. Please contact us for further information.
Age Group | Available Courses | Additional Information |
16-18 | –Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â All vocational courses, including Maths, English and Digital skills are fully funded | If you are due to turn 19 during your programme, you will not have to pay any fees. |
19-23 | –         English and Maths (up to and including Level 2) will be fully funded if not yet obtained  –         Eligible Level 2 courses may be fully funded if either of the following applies: o   You have yet to obtain a full Level 2. o   You are beneath the earnings threshold of £25,750  –         Eligible Level 2 and below courses may be co-funded if you do not meet the earnings threshold requirement  –         ESOL courses can be funded fully if you meet the earnings threshold or are unemployed  o   If you do not meet these criteria, the course may be co-funded  –         Eligible Level 3 courses will be fully funded if you have not yet achieved a full Level 3 (Free Courses for Jobs offer) o   Regardless of income or employment status  –         Level 3 courses can also be funded via an Advanced Learner Loan or payment plan* if you have already achieved a Level 3, or do not meet the earnings threshold requirement |    List of eligible Level 2 and Level 3 courses – Qualification Search – List of Qualifications approved for funding     * For information on payment plans, Lifelong Learner Loans or Advanced Learner Loans, please speak to Admissions |
24+ | –         English and Maths (up to Level 2) will be fully funded if not yet obtained  –         Eligible Level 2 courses may be fully funded if you meet the earnings threshold or unemployed criteria  o   If you do not meet these criteria, there may be co-funding options  –         ESOL courses (up to and including Level 2) can be funded fully if you meet the earnings threshold or are unemployed  o   If you do not meet these criteria, the course may be co-funded  –         Full course fees apply for Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 courses. o   Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 courses can currently be paid for via an Advanced Learner Loan o   From January 2027, the Lifelong Learning Entitlement Loan will replace Advanced Learner Loans for Level 4 and 5 courses. o   All of these courses are also available for Payment Plans via Telford College*  |
